Home

Home is your landing page after login. At the top is a large chat prompt box — type a question and press Enter to start a new chat, or click a prompt template in the carousel below it to pre-fill the box. Below the prompt box, three tabs organize your work:
  • Recent — a carousel of your projects, a list of your recent work (reports, galleries, chats, and artifacts) with filter and sort controls, and a sidebar of your recent stories.
  • Playbooks — your organization’s playbook catalog.
  • Projects — every project you can access, most recent first.
Playbooks are available on select plans. Contact your Merciv representative if you don’t see the tab.
The sidebar is always visible on desktop. On mobile, it slides in from the left via the panel icon in the top bar. From top to bottom:
  • Search — opens global search (see below).
  • Home — the landing page.
  • Discover — the reading feed for published stories.
  • Trackers — create and manage your scheduled research agents.
  • Playbooks — pre-built guided workflows.
  • Portfolio — the product-intelligence dashboard.
  • Knowledge — your document library.
  • Inbox — a notifications panel (press Cmd/Ctrl+I to toggle it). A badge shows your unread count.
  • Recent — a panel of your recent items.
  • Recent Chats — a collapsible list of your 10 most recent chats, with a + button to start a new one.
Your account menu sits at the bottom of the sidebar.
Some destinations — Playbooks, Portfolio, and Knowledge — are available on select plans. Items your plan doesn’t include may be hidden or show a lock icon. Contact your Merciv representative if you don’t see one you expect.

Top bar

Every page has a top bar with breadcrumbs on the left. On the right:
  • A actions menu for the current item (rename, move to project, delete, and similar).
  • The New button — a dropdown to create a New Project, New Chat, New Report, or New Gallery. (New Project is hidden while you’re already inside a project; New Gallery appears on select plans.)
  • A chat panel toggle that opens chat in a side panel (see below).
Press Cmd/Ctrl+K anywhere — or click Search at the top of the sidebar — to open the command palette.
  • Search covers reports, galleries, chats, and projects in your active organization: your own items plus anything shared with you. A filter dropdown narrows results by type.
  • Before you type, the palette shows your 15 most recent items.
  • Each result shows the item’s name, its project (if any), and when it was last updated. Click to open it.
Global search does not cover artifacts, stories, or Knowledge files. To find those:
  • Artifacts — Home’s Recent tab with the Artifacts filter, or the project that contains them.
  • Stories — the stories sidebar on Home’s Recent tab, or Discover.
  • Knowledge files — the Knowledge page.

Chat: side panel or full screen

Chat runs in two layouts:
  • Side panel — the chat toggle in the top bar opens a resizable panel next to whatever page you’re on, so you can chat while looking at a report or dashboard.
  • Full screen — chats also open as full pages. Use Move to Side Panel and Expand to Full Screen on a chat to switch between the two.
On mobile, the side panel is unavailable — chat always opens full-screen.

Where your work lives

  • Home → Recent tab — everything you’ve touched lately, filterable by type.
  • Projects — containers that group related chats, reports, galleries, and artifacts under one name, with per-user sharing. Use Move to Project from any item’s menu to file it. See Projects.
  • Recent Chats — your latest conversations, always one click away in the sidebar.
  • Knowledge — your uploaded documents, in Organization and Personal tabs.

Inbox

The Inbox shows in-app notifications: when someone shares an item with you, when a new member joins your organization, and when a story is published to you. Click a notification to open the linked item; use the check icon to mark everything read. Notifications are scoped to your active organization — if you work in more than one, switch organizations to see that organization’s feed. Email notification preferences live under Settings → Notifications, where available.
