# Managing your organization

> Organization admin settings: profile, members and roles, approved email domains, branding, and templates.

Organization admins see an **Organization** group in Settings (avatar → **Settings**) alongside their personal settings. Members don't see this group. Everything here applies to your whole organization.

## Roles

Merciv has two organization roles:

* **Member** — the default role. Members have full use of the product: they can chat, upload files, create trackers, reports, and projects, and share items they own with specific people. They see only the Personal settings group.
* **Admin** — everything a member can do, plus organization settings: the organization profile, members and invites, approved email domains, branding, templates, and [billing](/admin/billing-and-plans). Admins can also make other members admins, remove members, and share stories organization-wide or publicly.

The organization also has a **primary admin** (usually its creator), who is guaranteed access to billing and completes the organization's onboarding.

Role changes take effect immediately. No one can change their own role or remove themselves.

## Organization profile

Edit your organization's **Name**, **Logo**, **Mission**, **Company Size**, **Industry**, and **Primary Use Cases**. These were first captured during onboarding and are saved for the whole organization.

## Members

The **Members** page lists everyone in your organization, with a search box and an **Admin Only** filter.

### Inviting people

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the invite dialog">
    Click **Invite Members**, enter the person's work email, and choose a role: **MEMBER** or **ADMIN**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the invite">
    The invitation goes to their email. If they already have a Merciv account, the invite is accepted automatically the next time they log in; otherwise it's applied when they sign up with that address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Manage pending invites">
    Pending invites are listed on the Members page — you can change an invite's role or remove it before it's accepted. Inviting an address that already has a pending invite shows "User Already Invited"; remove the existing invite to re-send. A badge on the page shows how many invites are pending.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Depending on your plan, the invite dialog may also show your personal invite link as an alternative to email invitations.

### Changing roles and removing members

Each member row has an **Admin** toggle to grant or revoke admin rights, and a remove action. Removing asks for confirmation: "Are you sure you want to remove this member from the organization?" A removed member can rejoin only with a new invite.

## Approved email domains

Register your company's email domains so teammates can join without individual invites — anyone who signs up with a matching work email automatically joins your organization as a member.

* You can register up to **3 domains**, in the form `example.com`.
* Removing a domain stops future automatic joins; existing members are unaffected.

<Note>
  Approved email domains are available on select plans. Contact your Merciv representative if you don't see this section.
</Note>

## Branding

Choose the **Chart palette** used across charts and primary accents. The palette applies to everyone in your organization.

## Templates

Manage your organization's content templates. On plans that include image generation, an **Image Templates** section lets you manage the brand templates used for generated images — see [Galleries](/galleries/overview).

<Note>
  Image templates are available on select plans. Contact your Merciv representative if you don't see this section.
