# Personal settings

> Manage your profile, appearance, notifications, invites, and connected tools.

Open your settings by clicking your avatar in the top corner and choosing **Settings**. The **Personal** group covers everything about your own account. If you're an organization admin, you'll also see an **Organization** group — see [Managing your organization](/admin/managing-your-organization).

<Note>
  Some sections below appear only on select plans or for select accounts. If you don't see one, contact your Merciv representative.
</Note>

## Profile

Your profile is what Merciv knows about you, and much of it was captured during onboarding:

* **Account Email** — shown read-only; this is the address you log in with.
* **Name** and **Photo**.
* **Role**, **Department**, and **Responsibilities** (select at least one).
* **Preferred Data Types** — the kinds of data you care about most, such as competitor data, pricing data, product data, market trends, consumer insights, sales data, or campaign data.

Click save and Merciv confirms with "Profile updated."

## Appearance

Choose your **App Theme**: **System Default**, **Light**, or **Dark**. System Default follows your computer's theme.

<Tip>
  The user menu (your avatar) also has a quick light/dark toggle, so you don't need to open Settings to switch themes.
</Tip>

## Notifications

Control which email notifications you receive with per-category toggles. Changes save immediately — you'll see "Preference updated" when a toggle takes effect. If no categories are listed yet, you'll see "No notification preferences available at this time."

## Invites

Your personal invite link lets you bring colleagues into Merciv. Anyone who signs up with your code or link is attributed to you. Copy the **Share link** and send it directly — the recipient signs up through it and the code is applied automatically. See [Getting access](/account/getting-access) for what happens on their end.

## Integrations

Connect external tools to Merciv so it can work with your other systems. Click connect on a tool and you're redirected to that provider to authorize access, then returned to this page. A confirmation appears when the connection succeeds or fails.

You can also reach this page from the user menu under **Integrations**.

<Note>
  Integrations are available on select plans. Contact your Merciv representative if you don't see this section.
